Pop
The boys love this old school popper toy that they can push and pull around like a vacuum. Lately, all we hear is Pop pop pop poppopoppopopopoppppp around the house! Thank you Auntie Mel for stealing any last bit of silence that we had left. The boys are obsessed with this toy, OBSESSED! It's the first thing they pick up in the morning and the last thing they put down before bed. They even park it outside the bedroom door as if it has it's own parking spot. We eat with this toy, we snuggle with this toy and if we allowed it in their bedroom, they would sleep with the thing. Let me just give you a little idea of the connection the boys have with this new loud, popcorn popper!

NICU Reunion
This update is for all the nurses and Doctor who are still following us.. Thank you and we love you guys!!! You played a huge part in our lives two years ago and we still think about you guys all the time. You were family to us and we could not have asked for better care for the boys.
The reunion was great and it was soo good to see all of our friends. We missed little Joshua though. We'll have to meet up sometime soon for a playdate. Here's a few pictures from the event.
The boys are both doing great! They eat everything and they keep us on our toes. They are in to everything as a normal "almost" two year old probably should be. They are still great sleepers and never put up a fuss about going to bed. I think we can thank the NICU for the schedule they put them on. They are still attending the same daycare as last year. We cannot believe how much they have learned and we really love the place as a whole. The boys are almost TWO and we are planning to have a bigger party this year.

ECI Visit
The boys are so active and keeping this Momma busy! We are all four off for the Summer so there's been a lot of Q.T. happening around here. The boys got baptized this last weekend with their little cousin Avery. It was a wonderful day and we got to celebrate with a lot of family.
Here's a little update on the boys.
Luke: He is finally walking as of 2-3 weeks ago and doing a little talking (dat, ball, uh oh and whoa are a few of his favorite words). He loves to know where brother is at all times and tends to copy Carter in most things. Luke loves when someone gets hiccups because it makes him laugh hysterically, only to end up with hiccups himself! He is still the super sweet snuggle bunny that we always said he was. We had ECI come out to evaluate Luke on physical developments and check on his speech and it turns out, he does not qualify for any services. He is doing great and developing just fine.
Carter: He is basically running! He is very active and constantly loves to find Mommy. He amazes us everyday with new sounds or new words. Some of his favorite words are Uh oh, ball, whoaaaa, no no, more, and everything is labeled d-buh. He loves to woof, woof when he sees a bird, a bunny, a cat or a dog. Carter enjoys playing hide and seek and making lots of noise.
We are staying pretty busy between the pool, toddler story time and playdates! The boys love a cool morning walk and a long afternoon nap.

Blue Bonnets
Carter is walking now..he's quick too! Luke is trying to get the hang of it and I'm sure he will pick it up really soon. We had a great Easter with my family at our house. The boys enjoy entertaining anyone who comes over so it is quite fun.
We took some pictures in the blue bonnets and they turned out absolutely gorgeous! Model babies...I think so!
Boy, have we come a long way! We are so thankful. I read an article the other night about premature births and it just gives me chills. We have such an amazing God for all the blessings we have been given.

We're still on the Land of the Living!!
It's been awhile since our last update... Here's the boys now. They are 16 months old.

Both boys are happy, healthy and handsome!!!
They both weigh a whopping 24 lbs with full heads of hair and already needing (badly) haircut #2.
Carter is walking a lot at school and a little a home for us and Luke is eager to begin.
Let me jump back a month or two....
When Luke was admitted to the hospital with RSV..
Carter missed his brother tremendously! It broke our hearts and I thought this was just priceless. ; (

Worst night ever!!
Well, we're back at the hospital just like old times. Luke has RSV and it's causing a lot of trouble with his breathing. He's hooked up to oxygen and currently getting an IV. He is completely exhausted and lethargic. He just looks Pitiful. I'm sitting in the waiting room crying my eyes out because he is so sick. How did we let this happen? Carter is at home with my sister and showing all the exact signs of RSV. If we don't treat his symptoms well enough he will most likely end up here too. They mentioned that Luke is on the downhill side of RSV but I don't really find that reassuring since he is in such poor shape. We are to plan on being here for at least 2-3 days.
For now, we need all the prayers we can get!

Never a dull moment with twins
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
(for those who still keep up with my poor blogging updates)
Below: our attempt to take a picture of the boys in front of the tree and then us all together.

Enjoying Texas weather in January! The boys love to be outside and we are so fortunate, we have a park directly across from our house.
They are growing up so much (14 months old now). Carter is standing for seconds at a time without holding on to things. Luke is working on moving around the table and couch, etc. They are both so vocal...well, Dada is what we hear the most but they've started a secret language and it's so entertaining. Never a dull moment in our house and we wouldn't have it any other way. The boys have a mouth full of teeth popping in and they eat everything! We can't even keep a gallon of milk in our fridge for more than two days, it seems. We currently buy 2 loaves of bread, 2 jugs of milk, the largest box of goldfish, 2 boxes of cheerios, jumbo boxes of waffles, over half a dozen bananas, all this plus their other favorites...about every 4-6 days. And this is only going to get worse. We may be members of Costco before the end of this year. These boys can eat, but the best part, they aren't picky........yet, anyway! They both weigh 25 pounds exactly.
We wish you the best in 2012!

Christmas was wonderful with both of our families. The boys got to see their great Grandma from Nebraska and we got to spend a lot of time with the people we love.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Last week, the boys school learned about Christmas around the world and ended the week with the story Polar Express and they had a pajama day.
Santa came to the boys school and they were the only ones that did not scream. Instead, they were completely interested in him, as you can see.
And this picture below made the Christmas card this year. I suppose, this is the only year that I can actually send a nude picture of the boys so I took full advantage.
Sean and I are just two days away from Christmas break where we get two full weeks off. These are the times that I am most thankful that my husband chose education so we get the same times off.
For now, Happy Holidays!
